Jan. 27 (new date!): Hot Topics for Directors  #1.  Our  first Hot Topics for 2016-17  is hosted by General Mills and LoveYourLunchroom.com. It will be held  at the Dakota Steak House, 1489 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 from 11:30--2:00pm.   The topic is "Responding to your Customers' Needs" and it will be emceed by Lonnie Burt, Senior Director of Food and Child Nutrition Services, Hartford Public Schools. May 12: Hot Topics #3  "Knowing and Reaching Your Gen Z Customer" This is our third and last Hot Topics of 2016-17.  It is hosted by Barilla Pasta and will be held at Johnny Garlic’s, 372 Scott Swamp Rd, Farmington, CT from 11:45 - 2:00pm. Please join us for a Roundtable discussion about Gen Z and what culinary trends they are currently exposed to and enjoy.  We will have a vibrant exchange over lunch and learn from each other about how to adapt school lunch menus to this multicultural generation now in our schools.
